Bella and Johnny's new gear....

Good Morning, hope your all enjoying the longer week-end here in UK...
Now this is abit of a silly post actually, but I promised 'Little-Bo' I would show. so here goes......
Apparently, Bella and Johnny needed a couple of new out-fits for the holiday...(you know the one...)and guess who got to make them....now I don't ever pretend to be a seamstress, by any stretch, but I suppose considering we had no pattern etc, they turned out Ok...well Mia and Lucas like, these are from Build-a-Bear by the way, all the kids seem to have them, but the store bought cloths are daft prices, and as Mia says, a girls needs more than a couple of outfits...lol...

Well, I kept my promise..lol....

Yesterday was my oldest Sons Birthday, he is now 37yrs old, and I feel a hundred..lol.....I just can't believe how time has passed me by like this, I swear it was only recently he was holding my hand and looking at me like I was his everything....lol....so bear with me as I fall into a fit of deep depression won't you...lol...not really, that's just the way it is......point being, a beautiful Butterfly came into our company and just sat with us, so beautiful, I like to think it was a spirit of a loved one....just me being daft, but hey, it keeps me happy...lol...I even managed to take a pic....
Enough of my waffling on, enjoy the rest of the day and thanks for your visit..Janette.xxxxxx

CraftyCatz challenge 195.....and we're back....

Good morning blogland , hope this finds you all in fine fettle...
After having a two week break I am sure all our DT girls at CraftyCatz are feeling ready to roll this morning...it's great to have a break but also nice to get back to it, the kids summer break is almost at an end, well, almost, and before we know it, the Harvest Festival will be on us, then it's a hop, skip and a jump to the other, unmentionable one...lol.....
OK, on with the challenge, it is Christine's first one, she has chosen a kind of mixed bag theme really, It's to use stitching and an option of using  Material....if you read below this it will all be revealed......

This week see's a challenge with an option... take up the challenge with the option and you will be entered into both prize draws for both sponsors....But please remember to state what if any material has been used.
If you choose to leave out the option of material  and just cover the stitching  you will be entered into the  prize from our second sponsor.

We are so lucky to be sponsored by the fabulous KennyK designs, who also gave us some images to play with...

Digi and rubber stamps from KennyK are a fun and edgy way to add the perfect dose of attitude and style to all of your creations!

PRIZE
5 digi images of winners choice

But that's not all, we also have the brilliant Marianne Designs...wow..

After all that, I decided to just sew instead of either/or...I made this Tatty Heart with a tiny tatty heart and the fab KK image coloured with Flexi markers.....what do ya think....
It took longer to make the small one than the larger one did, it's just some material I had left over from another project, roughly cut into a heart shape and sewn, by hand, my machine went on the fritz, and then frayed around the edges with a pin.....yep...that was fun.....the image is also sewn onto a frayed piece of material, the little key and buttons on the smaller heart were from my stash......phew...lol...
Closer look at the fab image, she was a dream to colour too....
There you have it, hope you will come and have a play along with us, it will be great to see what you all come up with....
Two of my gorgeous Grandchildren will be travelling to Newquay in the next few days, now for anyone who does not already know, Newquay is my fav place on earth, well, Cornwall is actually, omg, I just adore the place...
so I am all fidgety and off my game at what I shall be missing, I was asked to go, but i think  because they have so few holidays together, they don't need to drag me along...plus it makes me feel old...lol...so I will be sat here all sad, thinking of how I used to be the one dashing down into those beautiful waters at Great Western and Fistral beaches, and watching all the surfer dudes..lol... oh the smells and the sounds, Heaven, it really is....lol....ah well....lol....
OK...have a fab week-end and if you live in Cornwall............ don't even think about moaning...lol...........
Thanks for being here, hugs Janette.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

CraftyCatz challenge....194

Hi Girls and a very Good Morning to you all, I hope all is well in your part of the world....
Yes I am back...from outta space....thats how it feels anyway...lol....the daft thing is, we are now taking a short break at CraftyCatz, so after this weeks challenge I may be off for another two weeks, though I will be  commenting alittle  ....enough of all that, onto the challenge this week, which is Pastel Colours...., this was our lovely Sassy's theme, but she has had to step down from the DT for personal reasons and we do so miss her, she is such a fabulous lady and such fun, take care Sassy girl....Anyhow, I took it to mean just keep it light...so I did....
We also have our monthly GDT call going on, so just add GDT to your entry and Bob's your uncle.....

We are sponsored by Crimson Cloud who have 3packs of die-cuts for you....

This is a card I made for Carla on her Birthday the other week, I was trying to keep it plain as she doesn't really go for to much 'Froo Froo'.....I think it speaks for itself, and it was coloured with the usual Flexi markers...
A pic of the inside....
Thats all, I will be calling round to see what you have all been up to, from what I have already seen, I have missed alot in two weeks, although blog land is very quiet right now, I suppose alot of hols or our own glorious weather has made a mahoosive difference.....how are you all getting on with the kids off school...lol.....oh ours are just in and out and running through the house, sometimes at full throttle ...LOUDLY....I suppose it keeps us Grandparents young....Yeah....right.....well I have to keep telling myself something positive...lol....I love it really, although if I play one more game of hangman I could be in danger of screaming...lol....
See you all soon, enjoy the week-end, hugs, Janette.xxxx
