CraftyCatz challenge 139....and I 'm not ranting anymore...it's safe to come in....lol

Good morning everyone, hope your all well and looking forward to another week-end, flying by again don't you think....

The theme this week at CraftyCatz, is use Metal, chosen by our fabulous team mateAuntySue, all you have to do is use something metal on your creation so get cracking as we have a fab prize.....

I made a box, image is SC coloured with promarkers, cardstock is Gemstones, flowers and most all else from stash..Oh and lots of glamour dust on her wings and frills of her underslip...

These boxes are so easy to make, depending on how big you wish the finished box to be....anyway, fold a piece of cardstock,lengthways, in half, this one measures 28cms long by 12cms wide, then fold at  13 and 15, this will make the shape....with me so far...ok..now you need to decide if you want to cut a shape out for the image and slide it in when stuck or place the image ontop...does that make sense at all....next step is to stick all sides firmly...now you need to make a small box for the inside,I used a card size 13cms across by 16 wide, score all round at 2cms, cut corners to fold to make sides of box and cover with DP, if desired, stick it to the bottom of the larger card and thats the bones of your box.....

Hope thats been of some help, if not give me a shout and I'll try and show you as best I can....but it is an easy way of making a simple box, and you don't have to mess about making lids etc;...now that can send you mental...lol...

HAVING A RANT...BIG TIME....

HAVE YOU SEEN THIS BOX...MISSING SINCE LAST WEEK.....

Afternoon Bloggers, are you all having a good week so far.....OR....are you not enjoying it ....well I am as mad as hell, I really am....Firstly, the box above was one I made for a very kind friends Birthday, I posted it with some other bits and bobs, hoping it would have plenty of time to reach her....that was over a week ago...it went by First class post and NOT Pony Express....lost in space....now this is not the first time this has happened.....at Christmas two friends went without there Christmas gift because it just never arrived....EVERYONE else seems to get there's so what the $%*& is going on with our post....now IF by some miracle you see this anywhere....IT'S MINE AND I WANT IT BACK .......as for poor Jules, well I will be trying again, only this time it will be tracked....bloody post office........someone, somewhere has my friends pressie.....not funny at all....

Ontop of all that I have just been told my blog is full............................................................................WHAT....................................................................they want me to start PAYING for my Blog....well they can kiss my ass.....no way am I falling for this one......another blogging friend, Carole at Apples and Pears has a post about this....THANKFULLY.....so now I have to go dump loads of pictures.....so if you see lots of black holes on my pages...sorry...bloggers greedy fault not mine........times are hard enough without having to pay more and more for each and every little pleasure we have.........I just can't cope with it all, we should all make a stand instead of just paying the fat cats.....RANT OVER...sorry.....xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

CraftyCatz.... Pastels challenge

Morning Girls....well only just I know...Oh I have been battling with my internet AGAIN...it's been very stressful and no phone as well, at first I thought it was my pc again, finally contacted provider and everything needed new wiring...hope now it will be fine for a while at least....

Right then, enough of my waffling lets get on with the challenge this week at CraftyCatz...our fabulous teamie Dianne wants us to use PASTELS this week...mmmmm, TWO DAYS I was searching for something that I would refer to as pastel colours.....I actually had a mental block...how bad is that.....in the end I resorted to good ole Gingham and strips from stash..lol....then it took me another age to find some kind of Mojo......told you it was away with the Fairies.....anyway, in the end I made a Recipe holder, it can hang around wherever it fancies as long as it's not here, ever secretly hoped that someone would walk in and say can I have that please....and your sooo glad it's off your mind...one less to chuck in the bin methinks...lol...seemed like a good idea at the time....

Made this by getting a few sheets of card cut to 15cms across and 20cms long, scored and folded to make the little pocket, edged with MS Doily punch and stapled. Punched hole in top corner and put a fastener through so it can hang somewhere...anywhere..lol... the plastic circles, are from an old blind, paper from stash, ribbon Dovecraft Image Stamping Boutique, coloured with Promarkers and dusted with Glamour dust, button stash...on the Tag I wrote, cooks tips...if all else fails, buy a take away..lol... I was just feeling that way out at the time.......

Think thats it for now, I will hopefully get round to see you all today, I'll try my hardest I promise....
So then, whats everyone up to this week end...all UK residents can forget any silly idea's of frolicking in the sand or picnics in the hills...lol....you can go boating, we have lots of water....shocking isn't it....enjoy whatever you do, I'm living in hope that July will be FABULOUS...can't wait for the Olympics to start..hee heeeeee...so excited.....lol....

OK me darlings, am off, going to have a nice cuppa and maybe a shower....lol...not had time yet as BT bloke was here you know....lol

Happy Fathers Day Alfie....

Well as most will know we have been celebrating Fathers Day here in the UK today, I noticed a few blogs with pictures of there beloved Fathers, no longer with us, which I always find so sad, especially since I don't have mine either...Well this year I am sharing him with you, he was such a wonderful Dad, and he deserves to be remembered....he passed away along time ago now, but he will always be loved by his family, so, Alfie Boy, Happy Fathers Day, I still love you as much as ever, and I still think those glasses make you look like an owl.....( they were once quite in fashion...for those wondering...lol...)

CraftyCatz Challenge....Emboss it....

Morning my lovelies, hope all is well wherever you are in the world....we are having some pretty rough weather here in the UK at the moment, although yesterday I actually managed to dry two loads of washing, but we have more rain forecast so I suppose thats that for now....whatever happened to the 'Summer'....is it to much to ask for abit of sunshine please....lol.....rant over...on with the challenge.....

This week at CraftyCatz it's our lovely Carol' turn to host and she wants to see Embossing on your creations,can't wait to see what you all come up with, we do have some amazing crafters join us, it's always a treat to hop round and see what you have for us...

Well I'm back and I hope you all missed me.....

Hello Girlies, how you all doing..........OH BOY...have I had a time of it with my PC......I can tell you, I got to a point last week where I felt it was all over for me in blogland and I gave up........if  it wasn't for my brilliant friends....especially AuntySue and Tilly...well....I really don't want to think about it....and a big thanks for your kind words Katina......fingers crossed it will be ok now...

OK, well I made this for the lovely AuntySue's Birthday last week, I have done no crafting at all and got in a real fluster when starting this..lol...I think she liked it...instead of the usual card I send her, I did a make-over on a frame...as you can see in the pictures, it was all pretty simple and as usual I did my panick....OMG I don't know what to do....lol...

At the beginning of the year, we...well TILLY...decided we would do only hand made gifts for each other...after all we are crafters...she said....lol.....Sue and I sat there nodding in agreement with her Majesty...(as we always do )...but it is not as easy as one might think...let me tell ya....it gets harder all the time....I mean, how many hearts,boxes, books and calendars can one person need..lol....soooooooo, I need more ideas....anyone got any.....'cos SHE aint letting this go...lol.....(we love her really )...Sue...back me up with this...lol...

Here is what I started with...painted it with Acrylic and then sprayed with gold cosmic shimmer and when dry covered in cosmic shimmer Twinkles.

The flowers are all from stash, die cut heart and tag cut from Funky Foam and heat embossed and stamped to look engeaved....

                                                                             

Die cut corner is a Nellie...the Image is from Saturated Canary and coloured with Promarkers

The gorgeous corner die was from Sue herself.....and the bunting was cut from Magnolia papers....the font I used next to the image and for the tiles is Treelike.....

If I can find any challenges I will enter, need to look round first...
